1 child every 8 minutes visits ER for ingesting wrong medicine

Written By Jessica Ryen Doyle for Fox News Children reporting to the emergency room for medicinal ingestion is up more than 30 percent in the past decade, according to SafeKids Worldwide, a non-profit organization that works with 600 coalitions in the United States with partners in 23 countries around the world. Children are swallowing the wrong dosages of medications because adults are making it too easy for kids to gain access to these medications, said Kate Carr, president and CEO of SafeKids. More often than not, pills are being left in pill boxes (which are not child-resistant), on countertops and dressers or purses within reach of even the youngest kids. This ArticleAnd small children are not only curious about these medicines – they want to imitate adults, which is why they end up taking the medicine in the first place, she told FoxNews.com.SafeKids Worldwide collected data from a variety of sources. It looked at Consumer Product Safety Commission data and examined narr...

© Walt  Disney Pictures Chinese fans  can expect " Iron Man 3 " to be screened in their country despite the famously strict censors. Marvel announced in a statement on Friday, March 29 that the studio partnered with Chinese media company DMG to release a Chinese-version to the highly-anticipated film. In the statement, Marvel said that the special version would include "significant Chinese elements." Both the original and Chinese versions will feature famous Chinese actor Wang Xueqi, but only the Chinese version will feature actress Fan Bingbing, as well as "specially prepared bonus footage made exclusively for the Chinese audience." Chris Brown Disses Drake in Young Jeezy's 'R.I.P.' Remix: Come Out of the Closet!

Image
It seems that  Chris Brown  and  Drake  won't be shaking hands anytime soon. The former mocks the latter, who briefly dated  Rihanna  post after she split from him, when teaming up with rising star  Kendrick Lamar  in a revamped version of Young Jeezy 's single called "R.I.P." "Dearly departed, I bought a plane I departed/ And if you started from the bottom, go on and come out the closet," the occasional rapper spits his verses. Although he doesn't mention any name, it's not  hard to  figure out that he makes a reference to Drizzy's single "Started From the Bottom".  Breezy's lyrics might be a reply to his love rival's song "5AM in Toronto." The  Young Money  rhymer made a subtle mocking shout-out to the R&B singer in it, "Sinatra style I'm just being frank with ya/ I mean, where you think she's at where when she ain't with ya." The feud between Chris and Drake came to attention when ...

Post of the month....Sex Cures headache HOW?

In a scene from the 1993 Mike Myers comedy “So I Married An Axe Murderer,” a Bohemian San Francisco poet takes his newly-wedded bride to an old hotel on the Pacific coast to spend their honeymoon. As the couple checks in, the bride informs the front desk clerk that she has a headache and asks if the gift shop sells aspirin. The desk clerk directs her to the gift shop and once she is out of earshot, the mischievous clerk asks the husband if he thinks his wife “really has a headache.” The implied joke being, of course, that the bride is faking a headache to get out of having honeymoon  sex . And so goes one of the innumerable jokes about headaches and sex. It’s commonly understood that the best cure for headaches and migraines is dim lighting and some time spent in bed. A new study from the  University of Munster  has found that these cures are only half right. The lights should be dimmed, but only to set the mood. And there should be some time spent in bed...

For your consideration, here's my latest list of 20 new (or newly revamped) apps that have caught my eye in recent months. Many will be on display this week at South by Southwest, where startups are jockeying to launch the next wave of popular apps. It's unlikely that anyone will want to rush to their phone or tablet and download all 20. But from productivity, to photography, to social discovery to news, I'm hoping you'll be intrigued by more than a few. Do you have thoughts on any of the apps listed here, or your own suggestions for great new apps that launched recently? Share in the comments. Neatly Neatly bills itself as the smart Twitter client for the iPhone. It dramatically changes up the Twitter formula: Instead of displaying your timeline, tweets are grouped by interests.
